We are currently seeking casual* Leisure Attendants to work at Runnymede Pool and Waterside Farm Leisure Centre.
Are you interested in a role that requires you to:-
- fulfil a lifeguarding role and assist in the setting up of activity sessions, facility checks, cleaning, reception cover and other duties associated with the efficient running of a leisure facility;
- work on your own and as part of a team;
- be friendly and committed to good customer care.
PLEASE NOTE – It is essential that you are a strong, competent swimmer. Applicants who already have the NPLQ lifeguarding qualification are preferred, however this training may be offered to outstanding candidates.
* As a casual employee you undertake specific engagements and have the right to choose, without penalty, whether or not to accept the offer of engagement, but having accepted, you have the responsibility to come to work. Your engagement automatically terminates whenever the shift ends and Castle Point Borough Council has no obligation to offer you any other engagements in the future. You will be expected to follow recognised procedures at all times when on duty. Duties and responsibilities will be as detailed in the Job Description.
As far as possible, you will be given reasonable notice of the department’s requirements but clearly the variable nature of the work will limit the ability to do this in some instances.
