We are seeking one part-time Leisure Attendant to work at Runnymede Pool, Benfleet and Waterside Farm Leisure Centre, Canvey Island for 18.5 hours per week, who is able to:
- fulfil a lifeguarding role and assist in the setting up of activity sessions, facility checks, cleaning, reception cover and other duties associated with the efficient running of a leisure facility;
- work on their own and as part of a team;
- be friendly and committed to good customer care.
- PLEASE NOTE – It is essential that you are a strong, competent swimmer.
Training will be provided as you will be required to undertake a Castle Point Poolside Competency Assessment, the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and a First Aid Qualification in order to fulfil your role. Candidates who already hold the NPLQ qualification will be preferred.
Previous practical experience working within a leisure centre environment would be advantageous, however, we will provide all the necessary training to an individual who we believe will enhance the visitor experience and help us to achieve the high standards we aspire to.
You will be required to work on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays and maintain reasonable flexibility in shift operations to suit the needs of the service.
