Environmental Health Services are seeking 2x Technical Officers to assist in the protection of public health and the local environment through a combination of advice, education and enforcement of relevant legislation. The roles will provide support to Environmental Health Officers and maintain their own caseload across a diverse range of work areas, potentially to include environmental protection, public health and nuisance control, private sector housing regulation, animal welfare, food safety, occupational health & safety and the provision of disabled facilities grants.
These challenging roles will offer many opportunities to enhance your existing capabilities learn new skills and start or continue a rewarding career, contributing towards the health and wellbeing of local residents & visitors to the Borough and helping to protect the wider environment.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths and experience of dealing with the public is essential for this role. Whilst any relevant experience would be desirable, full training will be offered to all successful candidates.

By necessity you will need to be adaptable and capable of embracing change so that the Environmental Health Service can respond positively to the many challenges facing local authorities at this time.
