The Mayor's Covid Record of Reflection
Everyone within Castle Point has been affected by Covid-19. Sadly, some have lost loved ones due to this virus. To remember them and to celebrate our key workers and volunteers, we have launched this webpage for the residents of Castle Point to pay respects and share uplifting tributes.
Cllr Colin Riley, Mayor of Castle Point Borough Council, is leading the tributes with his own personal message:
"I know that all our residents share my deepest and heart-felt condolences for those who have lost loved ones during this pandemic. The dreadful situation and necessary measures have compounded the sense of loss for the bereaved. My thoughts and sympathies are with you all. Recognition must be made to those individuals, key workers and volunteers who have given their time, effort and hard work to ease the burden of others during this pandemic. On behalf of us all, thank you. Our hearts go out to you all."
Your dedications and uplifting messages of hope are welcome here.
Please send us your message via the online form. We will review all messages before they are published. Messages can be submitted either individually, or as a representative of an organisation. Messages for this webpage can be submitted free and are welcomed from local residents, and from the relatives and friends of all those living in the UK who have died as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
